Through this new collaboration, eligible Rakuten members can enroll in Marriott Bonvoy through a convenient, one-click process on Rakuten Travel, using their existing Rakuten member information. Once enrollment is completed, members can enjoy a plethora of benefits which Marriott Bonvoy has to offer in addition to Rakuten Points, including access to member rates, the ability to earn and redeem points, and other exclusive benefits when booking Marriott Bonvoy’s hotels in Japan through Rakuten Travel.

- Special Limited-Time Offer for the First Stay: Until February 28, 2022, eligible Rakuten Members who are newly enrolled in Marriott Bonvoy making their first reservation through the Rakuten Travel for stays at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels in Japan will receive up to 35% discounts at all participating hotels in Japan, 20% discounts on restaurant and bar spends at participating outlets, 2 p.m. late check-outs based on availability, and an in-hotel welcome gift.
- Lucky Draw: Until February 28, 2022, eligible Rakuten members who are new to Marriott Bonvoy will be entered into a draw with a chance to win prizes for their next holiday at a Marriott Bonvoy property in Japan. Winners will be announced in March 2022.
- Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite Status Challenge: Within 90 days of registration as a Marriott Bonvoy member, eligible Rakuten members who sign up for Marriott Bonvoy by June 30, 2022 staying for eight or more nights at eligible rates at participating Marriott Bonvoy properties excluding Homes & Villas by Marriott International and Marriott Executive Apartments will be upgraded to Gold Elite member status for one year.
- World-Class Culinary Experiences with Marriott Bonvoy Moments: Until February 28, 2022, Marriott Bonvoy members will be able to immerse themselves in an exclusive series of world-class culinary experiences crafted by renowned chefs from the Marriott Bonvoy luxury portfolio in Japan. Events will take place at The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo; The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto; The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka; JW Marriott Hotel Nara; W Osaka and The St. Regis Osaka. These exclusive events will be available for redemption on the Marriott Bonvoy Moments platform.
