Tokyo, July 8, 2021 - The Rakuten Group would like to extend its deepest sympathies to everyone who has been affected by the extended period of heavy rains in Japan and the mudslides that occurred in Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture this month, and wishes for the swift recovery of all the affected regions.
In order to support the recovery of the region as quickly as possible, Rakuten Group, Inc. today announced that it has started accepting contributions for the Japan Heavy Rains of July 2021 fund through its online donation system, the Rakuten Clutch Special Charity Fund.
Those wishing to make donations can choose from a variety of payment methods including Rakuten Points, Rakuten Card, VISA and Mastercard credit cards, and cash transfers to a designated Rakuten Bank account, as indicated below.
Donations through Rakuten Clutch will be presented to local governments with the purpose of assisting those affected by the disaster. Rakuten will accept donations from July 6 to August 9, 2021*1.
