Rakuten Card to Open Second Member Exclusive Lounge in Hawaii

Tokyo, June 19, 2019 – Rakuten Card Co., Ltd. today announced that it will open its second member-exclusive lounge in Hawaii, the Rakuten Card Ala Moana Lounge. Located in the Ala Moana Center in Honolulu, the lounge is set to open on August 8. The Rakuten Card Ala Moana Lounge is the second Rakuten Card lounge in Hawaii following the opening of Rakuten Card Waikiki Lounge*1 in August 2017.

Since its opening, the Rakuten Card Waikiki Lounge has been visited by a large number of Japanese tourists and business travelers who hold a Rakuten Card*2. The Waikiki Lounge’s free services, such as welcome drinks, massage chairs, a baggage room, a kids’ room, nursing room and stroller rentals, have been very well received.

The Ala Moana Lounge will be located on the third floor of the Ewa Wing of Hawaii’s largest open-air shopping center, the Ala Moana Center, so cardholders can relax and enjoy the facilities while shopping. The lounge will offer Rakuten Card cardholders and their guests access to a lounge which is approximately 20 percent larger than the lounge in Waikiki, as well as a kids’ room that is about three times the size of the kids’ room at the Waikiki Lounge. In addition, Rakuten Black Card and Rakuten Premium Card members can enjoy access to the lounge’s “Premium Room*3,” an exclusive, luxury space.

Going forward, Rakuten Card will continue to expand its lineup of services to provide an even higher level of convenience and satisfaction to its customers.
