Rakuten LIFULL STAY Links its Vacation STAY Booking Site with Beds24

Tokyo, May 31, 2019 - Rakuten LIFULL STAY, Inc., a Rakuten Group company providing vacation rental services in Japan, today announced that its vacation rental and accommodation booking site “Vacation STAY” has been linked to Beds24, one of the world’s leading channel managers operated by MPK Systems Ltd. This is the first time for Vacation STAY to link with a global channel manager.

Beds24 is an all-in-one cloud service that is linked to major OTAs and utilized by thousands of vacation rental and accommodation providers in over 130 countries around the world. The service offers a wide range of features, including a channel manager through which sales channels can be managed centrally, as well as a property management system (PMS) through which bookings, room prices and payments can be efficienctly managed. The service handles a wide variety of properties including hotels, hostels and vacation rentals. Beds24 also offers many functions suitable for agencies managing multiple properties. 

Through the linking of the systems, owners of accommodation and vacation rental properties and their agents who use Beds24 in Japan will become able to list their properties on Vacation STAY and its partner accommodation booking sites, including Rakuten Travel. This will allow them to market their properties more widely and more efficiently operate and manage their properties. Listing a property on Vacation STAY requires registration of the property on the website. After the basic information about the property, the payment methods and house rules are entered into the relevant form and inspection reports, business permits and other documents from authorities are uploaded, staff will check the documentation. Owners who have already registered their properties with Vacation STAY will be able to access these services by setting up an account with Beds24.

In addition to vacation rentals, temple lodgings and summer houses where guests can interact with local hosts, Vacation STAY also includes in its inventory a wide variety of lodging types that meet the diverse needs of domestic travelers, including houses, condominiums and hostels developed by Rakuten LIFULL STAY. Rentals and accommodation facilities registering on Vacation STAY will also be listed on Japanese and overseas partner accommodation booking websites.

Through the new linkage, Rakuten LIFULL STAY aims to both meet the needs of vacation rental and accommodation property owners, and contribute to the expansion of the domestic and international vacation rental and accommodation industry.
