Rakuten Group Sends Support to the People and Regions Affected by the Heavy Rains of August 2021 in Japan

Tokyo, August 23, 2021 - The Rakuten Group would like to extend its deepest sympathies to everyone who has been affected by the extended period of heavy rains that have caused damage from floods, landslides and other natural disasters across a wide region of western Japan. In order to support the recovery of the region as quickly as possible, Rakuten Group, Inc. announced that it has started accepting contributions for the Japan Heavy Rains of August 2021 fund through its online donation system, the Rakuten Clutch Special Charity Fund.

Those wishing to make donations can choose from a variety of payment methods including Rakuten Points, Rakuten Card, VISA and Mastercard credit cards, and cash transfers to a designated Rakuten Bank account, as indicated below.

Donations through Rakuten Clutch will be presented to local governments and disaster relief organizations with the purpose of assisting those affected by the heavy rains. Rakuten will accept donations from August 20 to September 22, 2021^*1.
