January 5, 2005Rakuten Securities, Inc. Invests in New Commodity Brokerage Company
On December 1, 2004 Rakuten, Inc. announced the establishment of a new joint venture with Matsui Securities Co. The new company, .Commodity, Inc., will operate an online commodity brokerage. The representative director of the new company is Mr. Naoki Kurumada. The Directors of the company are Mr. Atsushi Kunishige, president of Rakuten Securities, Inc., Mr. Michio Matsui, president of Matsui Securities Co., and Mr. Yoshiaki Murakami, president of M&A Consulting Inc.
