Rakuten Mobile Now Accepting Reservations for
ASUS “ZenFone™ Selfie” Smartphones

Tokyo, September 16, 2015 – Fusion Communications Corporation, the telecommunications company of the Rakuten Group today announced that it has begun taking reservations for ASUS JAPAN Co., Ltd.’s (ASUS) “ZenFone™ Selfie” smartphone as part of its Rakuten Mobile SIM card sets. Delivery of the smartphones is scheduled to begin on September 18. Mobile Number Portability (MNP)^*1 applications are also being accepted from today.

The “ZenFone™ Selfie” features high-performance 13 megapixel front and rear cameras, making it easier than ever to take great selfies. Both the front and rear cameras feature a dual-LED Real Tone flash that adjusts automatically to capture natural skin tones, and the rear camera also utilizes laser auto-focus technology to instantly adjust the focus. There are also 17 different shooting modes, including a Low-Light mode for taking natural looking bright photos in dark environments without a flash; and a Super HDR mode, which makes it possible to take vivid photos even when the subject is backlit. 

Customers who purchase a “ZenFone™ Selfie” as a smartphone/SIM card set from Rakuten Mobile will be rewarded with 2,500 Rakuten Super Points in a campaign.
