- Customers can receive products from Rakuten Ichiba
at Lawson stores around Japan 24 hours a day -

Tokyo, August 25, 2015 - Rakuten, Inc. and Lawson, Inc. today announced that the two companies are collaborating on a pickup service that will allow customers to receive certain products*1 purchased from the Rakuten Ichiba Internet shopping mall at the 11,299 Lawson convenience stores in Japan*2. The pickup service will be launched on September 1, 2015.

Customers who purchase certain products from participating stores on the Rakuten Ichiba and select convenience store pickup service as their chosen method of delivery will be able to pick up their products from their Lawson store of choice, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. By presenting the printed ticket, which can be acquired by inputting the inquiry number and authentication number included in the pickup e-mail from Rakuten Ichiba into a Loppi multimedia terminal located in Lawson stores, or the barcode that can be acquired from the pickup e-mail, customers can easily receive their products at the counter in the store.

As the Internet shopping market grows and the lifestyle of consumers diversifies, Rakuten has introduced a variety of pickup methods to meet the varied needs of its customers, including delivery locker services such as Rakuten Box, and the Hako Post operated by Japan Post. Lawson has built an open platform that allows other businesses to use its stores as a base, by utilizing its network of more than 10,000 stores nationwide for ordering, pickup and delivery.

Going forward, Rakuten and Lawson will strive to provide more convenient services for their customers.
