Tokyo, August 3, 2015 – Rakuten, Inc. today announced that it will strengthen collaboration with its group company O-net, Inc. by offering members of O-net’s wedding information service Rakuten O-net special plans with discounts on venue hire for the venues available on its wedding ceremony venue search and preparation site, Rakuten Wedding. The collaboration between the services is planned to start in autumn 2015.
Through this collaboration, successfully matched Rakuten O-net members will be able to receive recommendations for their preferred wedding venues from among the venues offered on the dedicated Rakuten O-net members’ page set up on the Rakuten Wedding website. This dedicated members’ page provides information on discounted services and plans that are limited to Rakuten O-net members who are getting married, and allows them to utilize members’ privileges such as a 5% discount on dining and wining costs for their wedding reception.
Through the collaboration with Rakuten O-net, Rakuten Wedding will be able to introduce wedding venues to new users who are likely to put in reservations. With this, Rakuten anticipates an increase in the number of reservations for wedding venues.
At the same time, O-net aims to improve customer satisfaction among Rakuten O-net members by strengthening its support and services even after members are wedded.
Going forward, Rakuten and O-net will continue to strengthen the collaboration between Rakuten O-net and Rakuten Wedding, and aim to provide services that are highly satisfying for both the users and the partner facilities.
