On February 23, 2005, Rakuten, Inc. announced the appointment of a new company executive officer. Mr. Toru Shimada becomes an executive officer on March 1, 2005. Mr. Shimada is president of Rakuten Baseball, Inc. (For full release, please refer to Japanese IR release.)
