On September 24, 2004, Rakuten, Inc. submitted an application for a new baseball franchise to Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). On November 2, 2004, NPB awarded our company the rights to a new baseball franchise. The name of the baseball franchise is Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles. Our company has launched an official web site for the baseball franchise; the URL is https://www.rakuteneagles.jp. The site opened on November 2, 2004 at 17:00.
