Legal Affairs Course
Engage in corporate legal affairs in a wide range of business fields across the Rakuten Group.
Employees in this course are responsible for legal affairs related to the Rakuten Group’s service provision, development and provision of systems related to its services, and sales and marketing. Employees in this course engage in legal work across a wide range of business fields within the Rakuten Group and have the opportunity to work with various legal systems take out around the world. This role allows employees to contribute to expanding the Rakuten Group’s business by broadening the scope of activities they engage in and encouraging them to proactively propose new ideas in addition to the tasks that have been assigned to them.
Job Description
Respond appropriately to business risks associated with expanding the Rakuten Group’s overall business scale and globalization while strengthening our legal compliance system. Provide guidance and advice on contracts and legal issues, conduct legal research, review schemes, and execute contractual work related to overseas expansion and the launch of new businesses both in Japan and overseas.
Finance and Accounting Course
Support Rakuten Group’s management, which continues to evolve and grow dynamically, with your knowledge and expertise.
This field’s mission is to support group management by gathering the information necessary for corporate decision-making, such as finance conditions and business performance, through planning and execution in finance and accounting-related fields.
After joining the company, you will gain the experience required to become an expert in accounting, finance, budgeting, taxation, etc. to support the Group.

Eligible Applicants
- Able to join us in April 2024. (expected to graduate from any university or graduate school by March 31,2024)
*Either new or graduates are eligible. Those with work experience of less than 3 years are also accepted. - Possess Japanese skills of business level or higher
Work Location
After completing the initial training, you will work at the office of whichever department you have been assigned to, which could be at the Tokyo Headquarters, domestic branches, or overseas branches.
Working Hours
Standard work hours: 9:00-17:30
Fixed working hours are 7.5 hours with a 1-hour break.
*Work hours on days with a Rakuten Group morning meeting are from 8:00-16:30.
*The discretionary labor system may be applied to professional work and management-related work.
*Some departments may offer flextime.
Core hours: 11:00-15:00 (8:00-12:00 on days when morning meetings are held)
Days off / 2 days off per week (Saturday, Sunday), national holidays
Vacation / Summer vacation, New Year’s holiday, annual paid vacation, special leave, etc.
Salary
[New graduate (General Business Track)] Undergraduate: 300,000 yen (monthly salary); Graduate: 310,000 yen (monthly salary)
Includes a fixed overtime pay of 40 hours per month.
Additional payment is available for overtime work that exceeds 40 hours per month.
(Example breakdown of 300,000 yen (monthly salary): base salary 227,849 yen + fixed overtime of 72,151 yen for 40 hours)

Employees are evaluated in June and December with bonuses based on company performance and individual evaluations.
