Ferris Wheel Starts Spinning at Rakuten Kobo Stadium Miyagi

On May 3, 2016, "Smile Glico Park," a park featuring a Ferris wheel from where you can watch professional baseball games, was opened at Rakuten Kobo Stadium Miyagi which is the home stadium of the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles.
The Rakuten Eagles was founded as a baseball club that plays in a "ball park" rather than simply a stadium. This image has been strengthened this season, with the introduction of a natural turf field and installation of full-screen LED scoreboards. Inside this ball park, Japan’s first baseball stadium Ferris wheel was installed and a new seating area was added.
