Rakuten and Warriors Team Up to Empower Bay Area Community

Rakuten's partnership with top NBA team the Golden State Warriors has not only strengthened its brand in the Americas but also benefited the community of the Bay Area where both the team and Rakuten Americas are based. In this report, we take a look at two joint initiatives that took place in 2021, focused on empowering local youth: the first virtual edition of the Future Leaders program, aimed at inspiring middle school girls, and a project to refurbish the locally renowned "Mack House" basketball court at McClymonds High School in Oakland, whose team is coincidentally also called the Warriors.
