Rakuten and Students Help Kobe with Fun Tech Ideas

This internship program was part of one of six areas of cooperation within a Comprehensive Partnership Agreement that Rakuten signed with Kobe City in December 2018 – providing support for talent development in collaboration with universities and other organizations.

In this report,

• See how Rakuten and the interns introduced innovative products to help a local Rakuten Travel hotel and Rakuten Ichiba merchant, as well as at Kobe Chuo Municipal Library.
• Find out about the interns’ super practical experience, meeting with clients to uncover issues and come up with ideas before creating and testing prototypes on site.
• Hear what the interns thought of and what they gained from this unique program.
