Viber Communities Signal New Era for Group Chat

The concept of Viber Communities was unveiled by Rakuten CEO, Mickey at the Mobile World Congress in February 2018. Since then, the feature has been gradually rolled out globally, with a growing number of large-scale, active groups covering interests, experiences, causes and events.
For example, during the World Cup in Russia, twelve soccer-focused Communities in different languages were launched to allow users to follow and talk about the tournament. What's more, Rakuten OverDrive has launched a Community for listeners of its "Professional Book Nerds" podcast. Why did Rakuten OverDrive start its Community?
