May 23 - June 19, 2018, Rakuten Ichiba, in collaboration with online curation service "ROOM," and the BEAMS JAPAN offline store, has launched an O2O (online-to-offline) project "Rakuten meets BEAMS JAPAN."
The interior of the BEAMS JAPAN store in Shinjuku, Tokyo features a giant WallSHOP digital display, on which items owned by popular buyers of BEAMS are shown. Customers can use their smartphones to navigate from here to Rakuten Ichiba, where the respective items can be purchased. As a result of the collaboration, the Rakuten Pay service is also planned to be introduced in BEAMS stores across Japan.
