Rakuten-Viki Global TV Recommender Challenge

Rakuten held the event, "Rakuten-Viki Global TV Recommender Challenge," in commemoration of the establishment of Rakuten Institute of Technology Singapore in September 16, 2015.
This event was a contest to build a personal recommendation system based on the user data from Viki of the Rakuten Group, the global TV site powered by fans. The aim of this event was to discover outstanding human resource in Singapore, the country where investment in research and development in Asia has been the greatest, and to ensure the early identification of ways in which Viki's wealth of data can be used in crowd sourcing. Through RNN, we will report on the details of the highly successful event that shows the collaboration between Rakuten, Viki, and the Singapore government.
