There are articles in the media that Rakuten Ichiba, operated by Rakuten, Inc. (hereafter “the Company”) was inspected by the Japan Fair Trade Commission (hereafter the “JFTC”) regarding the standard shipping threshold measures (hereafter "the measures") for alleged violations of Article 19 (Article 2, Paragraph 9, Item 5) of the Antimonopoly Act which has been presented as a relevant law.
Although the Company believes the measures are in compliance with laws and regulations, on this occasion we accept the fact that the inspection was conducted in a solemn and sincere manner, and we will fully cooperate with the inspection of the JFTC.
We will disclose the progress of the inspection etc as soon as it is known.
