Tokyo, March 5, 2018 - Rakuten, Inc. and O-net, Inc., a Rakuten subsidiary offering matchmaking and marriage information services, today announced that they have reached an agreement to transfer Rakuten Wedding, a business currently operated by Rakuten, to O-net.
The business transfer will take place on April 1, 2018, following which O-net will take over operation of the Rakuten Wedding service. Rakuten Wedding runs a website supporting all aspects of wedding planning from venue search and wedding ring information to ideas for fun and economical ceremonies. Current users of Rakuten Wedding will not be required to carry out any additional procedures in order to continue using the service.
O-net will strive to provide customers with more attractive and convenient services than ever before.
