Rakuten Eagles Host 10th Annual "Ganbarou Tohoku Series"

Over three days between June 18 and 21, 2021, the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles hosted a series of tribute games, the "Ganbarou* Tohoku Series" at Rakuten Seimei Park Miyagi. This annual event, held for the tenth time this year, aims to send out a message of encouragement and strength from the Tohoku region, in its efforts to overcome the devastating Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011.
Held under the theme “Connection," this year's event enabled visitors to experience Tohoku through various local food and drink stalls, as well as displays and exhibits in and around the stadium. In this way, the whole team, including the General Manager, coaches and players could all show their connection to Tohoku during the games.
