On February 27, 2021, Vissel Kobe played its opening match of the J.League season at home against Gamba Osaka.
The contest was held in front of spectators, although attendance was limited to under 5,000 fans within the 30,000-plus capacity stadium as a coronavirus countermeasure.
In addition, in a collaborative effort with Rakuten's Unmanned Solution Department, a spraying drone was utilized for a demonstration test to cover the stadium with an anti-bacterial coating, which is effective for over one year.
In 2021, Vissel Kobe continues to play under the slogan “One Team – To become the No.1 Club in Asia," and this match kicked off the season in style! With around 10 minutes left, Kyogo Furuhashi ran on to a precise pass from Hotaru Yamaguchi, scoring with a brilliant lob shot which led the team to a 1-0 victory!
Vissel Kobe and all its supporters will continue to work as “One Team" to reach their goal from 2018 of becoming Asia's No.1 Club.
