Rakuten UGV Realizes Socially-distanced Delivery

From August 1 to September 22, 2020, Rakuten is offering a delivery service utilizing automated UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicle) robots in collaboration with Tokyu Resorts & Stays, at the Tokyu Resort Town Tateshina resort complex in Nagano Prefecture. The service is utilized within the resort’s "glamping" (glamorous camping) facility, where Rakuten UGVs deliver requested items such as barbeque ingredients to guests, through orders placed via the dedicated app on the smartphone terminal installed in each tent.
