Rakuten Viber Showcases Bottom-up Innovation with GIF Creator

We report on the development story of one of Viber's latest hit features, "GIF Creator," which was the winning idea of the first global Viber Hackathon in September 2019, and was released on Viber's iOS app in June 2020. The team that worked on the feature was spread across the world and had to work mostly from home, due to the coronavirus pandemic, but this didn't stop the development process.
