Rakuten Group Day Held in Appreciation of Rakuten Family

Rakuten Group Day is an annual event which features a professional baseball game and is organized by the Rakuten Group and the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles baseball team. This year, the event boasted a record high number of spectators, and was attended by Rakuten employees and their families, as well as Rakuten Eagles fans who wanted to watch the team play in the Kanto region of Japan.
A charity fundraising activity to support Kumamoto earthquake relief was also held on Group Day. Players from the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles, guest celebrities and also new grads who joined Rakuten this year appealed for donations from the attendees.
