The Rakuten IT School Championship 2015

The Rakuten IT School was founded in 2008, and conducts classes on e-commerce for high school students around Japan with the aim of sharing the management know-how of Rakuten Ichiba merchants. At the Rakuten IT School Championship 2015 held in January 2016, students from all over Japan gathered to show what they have learned about the Internet business through the classes. They gave presentations on the webpages they had developed, and competed to see whose effort was judged as the best in Japan.
Through observing the heated battle of the younger generation, Rakuten reflects on its responsibilities toward the future as it aims to become the leading internet company in the world.
