Tokyo, February 19, 2015 - Rakuten Kobo Inc., a subsidiary of Rakuten, Inc., today launched the general online and retail sales of the Kobo Aura H2O waterproof eReader in Japan. It is priced at 19,980 yen (including tax).
The Kobo Aura H2O has been highly appraised by customers who bought the Kobo Aura H2O during the initial sales last year, with customers commenting about the clearness of the display and the responsiveness of the device, even when used in the bath.
For the general release, the number of sales channels of the Kobo Aura H2O has been increased, to give customers more choice in where and how they purchase the device. The Kobo Aura H2O can be bought online at the Rakuten Kobo eBook Store, at BicCamera.com, and at Sofmap.com, and it is also being stocked in some retail outlets such as Bic Camera, to give customers the opportunity to try the device before committing to a purchase.
To mark the general launch, customers buying the Kobo Aura H2O by February 27, 2015, on the Rakuten Kobo eBook Store can earn five times the number of Rakuten Super Points, and will be entered into a draw in which one customer will be selected to win a year’s supply of bath powder.
