Rakuten Partners with Itochu Enex
in R-Point Card Service

- Rakuten R-Point Card service to be available at Itochu Enex gas stations this autumn -

Tokyo, May 22, 2015Rakuten, Inc. today announced that energy company Itochu Enex Co., Ltd., a group company of ITOCHU Corporation, has become an affiliate of Rakuten’s R-Point Card loyalty points program.

Use of R-Point Cards at Itochu Enex Group’s Car-Life Stations*1 is scheduled to become possible from this autumn this year. Customers will be able to earn Rakuten Super Points by presenting their R-Point Card when purchasing designated products at the stations, and will also be able to use Rakuten Super Points to make payments.

Rakuten will continue to enhance its R-Point Card service and plans to also offer the service through other Itochu Enex group businesses in addition to Car-Life Stations, such as Itochu Enex’s LPG and electricity business divisions.

Service start date: Autumn 2015 (scheduled)
Affiliated outlets: Itochu Enex Group Car-Life Stations
Designated products: Gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and certain other non-petroleum products*2
Point earning rate: One Rakuten Super Point for every liter of gasoline, diesel, or kerosene purchased. The purchase of designated non-petroleum products will earn one Rakuten Super Point for every 100 yen (excluding tax) spent.
