Rakuten Mobile to Open
Application/Consultation Counter at Rakuten CAFE,
Futako Tamagawa Rise Shopping Center

Tokyo, April 9, 2015 - Fusion Communications Corporation, the telecommunications company of the Rakuten Group, today announced that it will establish a Rakuten Mobile application/consultation counter at the new branch of Rakuten CAFE in the Futako Tamagawa Rise Shopping Center in Setagaya, Tokyo on April 24, 2015. Customers will be able to apply for new Rakuten Mobile contracts and mobile number portability*1 (MNP) contracts and carry out the transfer processes at the counter from the same day.

The new Rakuten CAFE Futako Tamagawa Rise Shopping Center branch will be located in the Futako Tamagawa Rise Shopping Center Terrace Market due to open on April 24, 2015.

For customers wishing to receive an explanation about the service directly from staff before signing a contract, Rakuten Mobile set up a Rakuten Mobile application/consultation counter at the Rakuten CAFE located in Shibuya, Tokyo, on December 5, 2014, followed by the Rakuten Eagles Goods Shop located in Sendai, Miyagi on March 21, 2015. Rakuten Mobile will continue to open application/consultation counters across Japan in order to further meet the needs of its customers.

*1 MNP (mobile number portability) is a system in which a customer can keep their current mobile phone number when changing to a new provider.
*2 The Rakuten Mobile application/consultation counter cannot process mobile phone plan cancellations or changes to registered information by current Rakuten Mobile customers.
*3 Only customers paying for their device in full will be able to receive it at the counter. Customers paying by installments will receive their device at a later date.
*4 If the current address is different to the address on the identification documents, copies of the listed additional documents that have been issued within the past three months are required. If the address is not written on the Certificate of the Physically Disabled, the listed additional documents are also required.
