TOKYO, June 3, 2013 – Rakuten Inc. and Pargolf & Company, Inc., a subsidiary of AOI Pro. Inc. today announced that they have agreed to a business tie-up for golf reservation services and content provision.
Rakuten operates one of the Japan’s largest golf course reservation services through Rakuten GORA, and from this day forward, Pargolf & Company will also be offering this service on its own website. Visitors to the site will now be able to view the rich information available from Pargolf & Company while at the same time making reservations at any of 1,900 golf courses across the country. Conversely, Rakuten will display the golf-related news and information created by Pargolf & Company on the Rakuten GORA website, making it possible for golfers across the country to enjoy seasonal golf content from Pargolf & Company in addition to the discount campaigns and tremendous amount of information concerning golf courses already available from Rakuten GORA.
Moving forward, Rakuten GORA and Pargolf & Company intend to further energize the golf market through efforts to communicate the appeal of golf to as many people as possible and to increase convenience even further, including through the potential linking of events and sharing site IDs.
