New graduate training
Business Manners and Skills
This program teaches the differences in manners and conduct between students and working adults, as well as the appropriate behavior and attitude to embody as a representative of a company.
In addition, participants will hone their critical thinking and business communication skills required for the workplace, and experience how to conduct their work and build relationships with others through simulations that are based on workplace scenarios.

Compared to when I was a student, I was reminded that business manners must be ingrained in my mind because I am now carrying the name of the company on my back as well as being evaluated on the perspective of others in the business world.
Although I knew that reporting, communicating, and consulting are important in business, I gained confidence by learning their essential points (e.g., it is easier to understand if you start with the conclusion and then add additional points) and by practicing these points with my peers through role-playing.
Data/AI
Learning the basics of Data/AI for business purposes.
Participants will understand firsthand what AI is capable of doing in the business domain, and then learn the basics of data analysis and statistics, and data analytics tools to apply it in business.
In addition, participants will deepen their understanding of coexistence with AI in the context of society.

I had some confusion about the definition of AI and its benefits, even though I thought I knew what it was, but the program helped me to deepen my understanding of AI.
I learned that AI will change the way we work in the future and that it has the potential to provide better services.
Tech - Coding
Tech training（Programming and coding）will be provided after joins the company.Participants learn basic skills in programming and coding, and improve their IT literacy, logical thinking and the problem-solving skills that are essential for their work.

I work in sales, but when I find a simple task, I ask myself, “Can’t this be automated?” At Rakuten, I am free to think and propose new ways to reduce man-hours and improve the efficiency of my work!
During my training, I was exposed to how programming and logic works, which has been useful in my data analysis work.
Tech - Hackathon
In this training course, participants are divided into teams of several people to develop products and compete for the best results. Participants will practice a series of product creation processes, from planning to system development. While using the knowledge gained from the coding training, they are also able to experience time management and team building, which are necessary in their actual work.

The training provided me an opportunity to deepen my understanding of both the business and technical sides of the work, and to realize that what I can think of in my head is very possible to achieve. I feel that the mindset I developed during this training has become the foundation of my current working style.
I was able to experience not only the knowledge of coding, but also the difficulties and joys of working on a team, such as project management and sharing. Even after I was assigned to my particular position, I was able to use what I gained, learned, and reflected on during the training.
Follow-up Training
This is a program to review with peers the degree to which business manners and skills have been retained after assignment.
Participants will be able to acknowledge what they are able to do at this point and what they need to improve. In addition, participants will develop tips and plans for more effective growth, and will be exposed to ideas for their future careers.
