A postcard set, in a shape of kokeshis (a limbless Japanese wooden doll) from 6 Tohoku prefectures. If you put them in an envelope, you can send them as standard-sized mail or send them as nonstandard-sized mail by itself. You can stand them up to display by setting the attached stand.
Kokeshi is a plain wooden toy, and was born and brought up in Tohoku prefecture. They are mainly produced in Aomori, Akita, Iwate, Yamagata, Miyagi and Fukushima, and the kokeshi craftsmen designed the distinctive features of each prefecture in their own ways, by resting the head differently, changing the body shape, and illustrating original patterns, creating various types of kokeshis. Today, they are largely divided into 11 types. From there, we have chosen 6 as motifs for the postcards.
6 in a set.
