Kefira Plus is a dietary supplement which contains new plant origin ingredient “rice kefiran”. Rice kefiran is Kefira based LK-lactic acid bacteriawhich is cultured and concentrated in rice. In Addition, it contains rice origin lactic acid bacteria and fructo-oligosaccharide which is made only with plant material as ingredients. This product is made in a GMP certified factory. It’s safe and good quality, no food color, flavor, or preservative are added.

About the Safty and Security of BIOBRAN ◆There are a lot of lactic acid bacteria in kefir and LK-lactc acid bacteria, which forms kefiran, are taken from there.
◆LK-lactic acid bacteria are cultured in medium of rice, culture medium, not milk.
◆After concentrating and powderising, “rice kefiran” which highly contains LK-lactic acid bacteria, kefiran and nutritional component in rice are made.

Rice kefiran is produced from the traditional fermented milk “kefir”, which is not allowed to be taken out from Caucasus, one of the best famous region about longevity.
The typical bacteria of lactic acid bacteria (LK-lactic acid bacteria) are taken from kefir and single-cultured with rice.
“Kefiran”, the viscous polysaccharide, especially made by LK-lactic acid bacteria have been paid attenntion to their potential ability for years. However, single culture of LK-lactic acid bacteria was not easy and couldn’t establish the mass production technique so far.

Daiwa Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd focused on the kefiran quickly. They took out LK-lactic acid bacteria from kefir and cultured with Japanese staple food, rice, not with milk by their own technique.

Kefiran is a viscous polysaccharide made by LK-lactic acid bacteria, which forms kefir.
Kefira plus contains “rice kefiran” which LK-lactic acid bacteria are cultured with rice then concentrated and powdered.

【What is Kefir?】
“Kefir” is a kind of fermented milk. It was born in the region between the Black sea and Caspian sea where the Caucasus mountains rise in Eastern Europe. Kefir is now getting attention since it contains not only some lactic acid bacteria, but also yeast inhabits symbiotically and get fermented together.

However, to be popular in Japan, there were some problems as below.
≪1≫ Kefia contains alchol.
≪2≫ Carbonic acid gas is generated while preserved.
≪3≫ Doesn’t meet Japanese people’s preference.

Rice kefiran was developed by improving about the preference and enhancing the function so that kefir-originated new functional food get popular overseas.
 
【What is Rice Kefiran?】
LK-lactic acid bacteria, which makes kefiran, doesn’t product alchol nor carbonic acid gas since it’s homofermented lactic acid bacteria. Then single culture of LK-lactic acid bacteria alone in rice, which is familiar to Japanese people, is researched.

As the process, rice starch and rice protein are hydrolyzed, then used them as carbon and nitrogen source. Finally, compared to the culture method so far, sevral times of “kefiran” was produced successfully remaining the same numbers of the LK-lactic acid bacteria. Producing viscous polysaccharide kefiran industrially, which was difficult so far, became possible.
