Tokyo, July 13, 2015 – Rakuten, Inc. today announced the launch of “Super Point Screen,” an advertisement delivery app for smartphones with which Rakuten members can earn Rakuten Super Points. The app displays advertisements on the lock screen of smartphones, and users earn one Rakuten Super Point for each advertisement they view for 5 seconds*1. The service is available on Android™ smartphones.
After downloading Super Point Screen, advertisements relating to fashion, food, etc. from advertisers on the service will be displayed on the user’s smartphone lock screen, including advertisements for products handled by the Rakuten Group. Users select the advertisement they want to view from the several ones displayed on their lock screen, and if after being redirected to the advertisement page they view the page for five seconds, they can earn one Rakuten Super Point*2.
The launch of the app will be marked with a limited-period promotional campaign in which people who log in to the app for the first time will receive 200 Rakuten Super Points*3. In addition, if a user sends a Friend Invitation Code issued by the app to a friend who then enters the code when they themselves first log in to the app, both the original user and the invited friend will each receive 50 Rakuten Super Points*3.
Rakuten will continue to work on providing appealing new services that will allow Rakuten members to simply and easily earn more Rakuten Super Points.
