Mr. Okatake is scheduled to be appointed as an Advisor to Rakuten Inc. and will continue to be involved in management in that capacity.

In order to promote greater synergy with Rakuten Travel, Rakuten is considering a merger with the company, which is currently a 100% consolidated subsidiary, with the aim of completing the move within the year. Rakuten will disclose any pertinent information as soon as it is decided.
