Rakuten Mobile Brings AI into RAN with Intelligent Controller

Rakuten Mobile's open, cloud-native network allows smooth integration of AI, and a prime example of its benefits is the RAN Intelligent Controller. This enables cells or antennas to automatically adjust settings based on usage, reducing energy consumption. Professor Nakao of Tokyo University, who works closely with Rakuten Mobile, commented that "AI must be in the center of the future mobile network."
