Global Legal, IP & Privacy Forum Strengthens Collaboration

The first-ever joint gathering of legal and privacy teams from across the global Rakuten Group took place in October 2025. Sessions included a panel discussion on AI risks, where attendees were urged to "be careful about permissions" related to AI agents which communicate without "humans in the loop," as well as presentations on facial recognition and child privacy. There was also a workshop to discuss and present responses to cases from privacy and legal perspectives, and a traditional Japanese-themed party.
