Rakuten Mobile's BCP and its Role as Essential Communications Infrastructure

Rakuten Mobile is committed to building a network that remains connected even during disasters, serving as a key player in communication infrastructure. This video showcases part of those efforts, involving collaboration with the Self-Defense Forces, the Japan Coast Guard, and local governments, with whom 79 training exercises* were conducted in 2024. RNN hears from Rakutenians about their experiences contributing to recovery activities during the Noto Peninsula earthquake, ensuring smooth coordination with regional governments, and introducing innovative technologies for disaster response. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate how Rakuten Mobile strives to protect communication infrastructure.
