Rakuten Card and Mizuho FG Announce Strategic Alliance

Rakuten Group announced that Rakuten Card and Mizuho Financial Group have entered into a strategic capital and business alliance. Additionally, an agreement was signed between Rakuten Group, Rakuten Card, Mizuho Financial Group, Mizuho Bank, UC Card and Orient Corporation to form a business alliance. These agreements bring together the strengths of each of the companies to create new, innovative retail business models.
Following the announcement, Rakuten Group Chairman Mickey Mikitani, Mizuho Financial Group President and CEO Masahiro Kihara, and Rakuten Card Representative Executive Vice President Koichi Nakamura took to the stage to explain the alliance and launch of the "Mizuho Rakuten Card".
