SUPER SUMMER SERIES 2024

Rakuten's SUPER SUMMER SERIES: Three Events, One Future

In the summer of 2024, Rakuten Group jointly hosted sponsored matches for Vissel Kobe, Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles, and Rakuten Monkeys under the banner of "SUPER SUMMER SERIES 2024." This significant initiative aimed to create opportunities for realizing a sustainable society and a world where everyone can enjoy sports, aligning with the core theme of "Powered by Sports. Playing for All. A BETTER FUTURE TOGETHER."

The event comprised three distinct matches: Vissel Kobe's home game, "Rakuten SUPER MATCH"; Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles' first-team official game, "Rakuten Super Baseball Game"; and Taiwan's Rakuten Monkeys' first-team official game, "Rakuten SUPER GAME."

In Japan, both the "Rakuten SUPER MATCH" and "Rakuten Super Baseball Game" incorporated initiatives specifically based on the activity guidelines of A Greener Future" and "Sports for Everyone." Rakuten Group particularly focused on sustainable environmental practices, introducing eco-friendly cutlery at select food and beverage stalls and installing informative panels to encourage proper waste separation. Additionally, numerous engaging booths were set up, enjoyable for both adults and children, offering experiential games themed around soccer and baseball. A unique photo opportunity allowed participants to select keywords they believed were essential for "A BETTER FUTURE." As a memorable takeaway, participants also received trading cards of players, thoughtfully made from sustainable materials.

Through this "SUPER SUMMER SERIES 2024," Rakuten Group effectively leveraged three distinct sports events across various platforms. This created opportunities for more people to experience and envision "A BETTER FUTURE TOGETHER" and significantly promoted initiatives designed to empower individuals through the transformative power of sports.
