Rakuten Super Baseball Game 2023

Rakuten Super Baseball: Tokyo Dome's Passionate Push for "A BETTER FUTURE TOGETHER"

In 2023, the "Rakuten Super Baseball Game," sponsored by Rakuten Group, was held at Tokyo Dome for the first time in four years. This eagerly anticipated event was presented under the resonant theme of "Powered by Sports. Playing for All. A BETTER FUTURE TOGETHER." The primary aim of this special evening was to provide an enjoyable and inclusive experience for both dedicated Rakuten Eagles fans and those who rarely have the opportunity to watch live sports.

Inside the stadium, Rakuten Group warmly welcomed visitors with inspiring messages for the future from Rakuten-affiliated athletes, prominently displayed on digital signage. Various Rakuten Group services also set up interactive booths, offering exciting prize lotteries, exclusive participant gifts, and innovative original food menus creatively inspired by the Rakuten Eagles.

Among these attractions, the bicycle-powered electricity generation experience booth was particularly well-received. This engaging initiative was specifically designed to educate visitors about Rakuten's ongoing efforts toward carbon neutrality, providing an enjoyable and hands-on opportunity to learn about pressing environmental issues.

Before the game commenced, Sae Takemoto, a javelin thrower under Rakuten Sports management, performed the ceremonial first pitch, electrifying the venue with her splendid strike. A heartwarming detail was revealed: Takemoto and Rakuten Eagles player Yuma Yasuda had been classmates since elementary school. This symbolic one-pitch battery beautifully underscored the deep connections and powerful emotions fostered by sports.

Ultimately, the "Rakuten Super Baseball Game" transformed into a vibrant venue where people united through sports could forge stronger connections, celebrate diversity, and collectively work to create a sustainable environment. Each memorable moment shared at this event was a hopeful step connecting to a brighter future.
