Course Overview:
Rakuten contributes to society by providing diverse services that enrich daily life and by fostering people’s growth. In this program, you will gain hands-on experience in the work of a SWE, operating at the forefront of Rakuten’s service development.
This is a practical course that lets you experience the entire software development process as an engineer, from ideation and development to quality assurance. Through practical team development, you will immerse yourself in the role and development culture of an engineer at Rakuten, acquiring a deep understanding of the entire development cycle and practical skills.
*Programming experience is mandatory.
What You Will Learn in This Course:
[Insight & Understanding of the SWE Role]
- Beyond the general role of a SWE, you will learn about the specific characteristics of the role at Rakuten.
[Exposure to Rakuten's Development Technologies & Culture]
- You will experience an environment close to real-world work, covering some of the development processes and technology stacks used at Rakuten, while also leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as AI.
[Understanding the Quality Assurance Process]
- You will experience Rakuten's unique service development cycle: not only rapidly bringing ideas to fruition but also listening to user feedback, managing quality using agile development and building trust.
[Team Development Experience]
- You will collaborate with team members to advance development, enhancing your communication skills and teamwork.
Those who perform exceptionally well during the internship will be invited to an early selection process for full-time positions.
Course Overview:
Each team will develop a plan to utilize Rakuten Group's services and products in accordance with the theme. This is a three-day program where teams will thoroughly consider Who/What/How/Why from both user and business perspectives.
*No programming experience is required.

- Through practical application, you will acquire strategic thinking skills to deeply understand customer problems based on data and generate solutions.
[Team Development Experience]
- You will collaborate with team members to advance development, enhancing your communication skills and teamwork.

【Recruitment Target】
- Individuals who are interested in joining Rakuten
- Individuals who can join the company in April 2028 or October 2028
- Individuals with business-level Japanese language skills (N1 or above)
- Individuals who can participate for the entire duration of the course
- Individuals who can complete and submit assignments on time
