For baitcasting reels, heavier parts such as drag, gear and other parts are located on the reel handle side, but the other side has only a breaking unit and a bearing - baitcasting reels have an unequal weight balance. The reel handle is heaviest and located farthest from the reel seat, giving an unbalanced feel. Lightening the most outward part will result in a “unified-feel.” By using ZPI SSRC, you will have better reel balance and improved casting feel. Naturally, the reel handle is a spinning part; like the spool and bearing, lighter is better. Caution! * It is possible to void the reel maker’s warranty if reel damage is caused by ZPI SSRC. * In case of breakage, stop using immediately - carbon fibers can be very sharp! * In order to maintain great reel feeling, oil knob bearings frequently since they are the most pressured bearings in the entire reel.
