In Japan from ancient times the owl was a symbol of happiness.The transition from the 7 gods of happiness into 7 owls of happiness evolved from this first ancient symbol of the owl.
From left to right the names of the 7 gods of happiness are : Daikokuten, Fukurokuju, Ebisu, Benzaiten, Hotei, Bishamonten, Jurojin. Each owl is holding a symbol of each specific god.
These simple little owls are also talismans. Why not place them in some special corner of the room? They might ward away evil.
