This story is something you might hear somewhere in Scotland .... the home of malt whisky.
One distillery(Hanyu distillery) was closed in Japan...... but one malt whisky was saved and kept in a cask by a man , waiting for its day to shine again.
The grandson of the founder of this closed distillery, Ichiro Akuto named that kept malt whisky " Ichiro's malt " and brought it to the world again. People in Tokyo started talking about this malt whisky, then soon people all over in Japan.
It became more and more popular and now it's exported to England and some major cities in Europe.
Ichiro's dream came true.
Chichibu distillery, the smallest distillery in the world, the only one distillery in Japan that makes whisky only was given the production license by the National tax agency in February , 2008. It was the beginning of a new era for 4 men working at Chichibu distillery, and the beginning of Ichiro's Malt.
