Rakuten Tower Enriches Body and Mind

Because employees spend the majority of their day at the office, it is essential that the office is an enriching environment for both body and mind. The Rakuten Group built the Rakuten Tower to foster employees capable of "empowering Japan, and the world" and to support an enriching work life.

Designed with hospitality in mind, Rakuten Tower houses a full lineup of facilities, including a cafeteria, fitness gym and a library, and serves as a platform for active communication among employees. It is a tangible manifestation of Rakuten Group concepts. Art direction was provided by creative director Kashiwa Sato, and the office won a Good Design Award in 2008 in the office and commercial facilities category.
