Edy Fund Raising Campaign Launched to Aid
Tohoku Pacific Offshore Earthquake Relief Efforts

March 14, 2011, Tokyo -- We would like to extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to those affected by the Tohoku Pacific Offshore Earthquake. We share in the sense of profound loss and send our most sincere wishes for the earliest recovery and healing of the region and those affected by the tragedy.

bitWallet, Inc., manager of the e-money service “Edy” and member of the Rakuten Group (“bitWallet,” CEO: Yoshihisa Yamada, Head Office: Shinagawa-ku, Japan) launched an Edy Fund Raising Campaign that started on Monday, March 14, to aid in the recovery of the affected people and regions.

The campaign runs from Monday, March 14 through Tuesday, May 31, and will accept donations between 1 and 50,000 Yen (payments can be made in increments of 1 Yen). All donations will go to the Japan Red Cross Society, to be used for relief and reconstruction activities.

Edy-based Donorations can be made in two ways: either by using Edy installed on conventional mobile terminals compatible with “Osaifu Keitai®;” or by placing an Edy card, etc. over a reader/writer, such as FeliCa port or PaSoRi.

bitWallet is committed to doing as much as it can through this fund raising activity to aid in the recovery of the affected people and areas.
