On September 30, 2020, Rakuten Mobile announced the launch of its 5G service. During the event, Mickey introduced a new and enhanced service plan, "Rakuten UN-LIMIT V," offering new and existing subscribers access to 5G services for the same 2,980 Japanese yen monthly fee as the 4G plan at no additional cost.
