On September 22, 2016, Rakuma held its first offline event, the Rakuma Flea Market, at the Rakuten Eagles' home, Rakuten Kobo Stadium Miyagi, in Sendai. The event managed to attract over 6,000 people, with around 200 stalls set up. Rakuma decided to hold an offline flea market as a way to spread awareness of its online flea market app, and increase the number of new active app users. Participants could also encounter other Rakuten services at the venue, in the form of food stands of Rakuten Ichiba merchants, and booths of Rakuten Travel, Rakuten Dining and RAKUTEN SHOWTIME among others. Check out this report to see the lively scenes on the day and hear from some of those who attended.
