Global E-Commerce Consultant

With the ideas that "I want to make things happen globally" and "Even though I'm young I want to participate in setting up an international business" as the basis for my future career, I began my job search, and with luck ended up working at Rakuten.

After joining Rakuten, I was able to build valuable experience as an E-Commerce Consultant. I am currently putting all my effort into setting up the foundation for the Rakuten Indonesia business.

I am involved in all the initial steps of setting up a business; establishing a merger with a local Indonesian company, marketing, operations, and hiring local staff. With a population of 240 million, an average age of 30, and an internet penetration rate of 16% the Indonesian market is entirely different from Japan.

While using the experiences I cultivated as an E-Commerce consultant, I have to think about in what manner we can display Rakuten's strengths in this growing market. Empowering Indonesia and the world is my current mission.

Rakuten uses a high level of IT skills while passionately dealing with merchants on an individual basis. Rakuten is not an organization that mechanically employs IT knowledge, but instead one that uses IT basics to improve individual operations one person at a time. This is Rakuten's unique strength that cannot be found anywhere else.

After gathering experience as an E-Commerce Consultant, I was given the opportunity to actually work building a business overseas. Rakuten is the kind of environment that if you have a passion for challenges you will have the opportunity to involve yourself in a diverse range of projects.

The level of performance required is very high, and there is a great amount of responsibility given to you. Rakuten is the ultimate environment for those who are seek out personal growth, have the power to encourage and include those around them, or those that seek to develop those abilities.
